The Forensic and Medicolegal Medical Specialist Education Program of the Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University (PPDS IKF and ML FK Undip) was established in 1980 at the Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University, Education Zone of Dr. Kariadi General Hospital, Jl. Dr. Sutomo No. 16-18 Semarang. PPDS IKF and ML FK Undip received legality based on Undip Rector’s Decree No. 144/SK/PT09/1980 concerning the Establishment of Specialist Doctor Education School I dated November 29, 1980. The IKF and ML FK Undip Specialist Doctor Education Program obtained accredited status with a B grade from the Forensic and Medicolegal Medical College with the Decree of the IKF and ML College No: 007/SK.KIKFI/III/2012 concerning the Accreditation Results of the Forensic and Medicolegal Medical College Specialist Doctor Education Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University dated March 31, 2012 which is valid until March 31, 2015 and then based on the decision of the IKF and ML College No: 45/Kep/Kolegium-IKA/IV/2015 dated April 30, 2015 it was stated that the IKF and ML FK Undip Study Program was accredited B which is valid until December 31, 2016.

In 2018, the Forensic Medicine Study Program received an A-level accreditation from LAM-PTKes based on the results of the LAM-PTKes Assessor Assessment on July 16, 2018. This decision was outlined in Accreditation Decree No. 0480/LAM-PTKes/Akr/Spe/VII/2018 dated July 28, 2018, and is valid until July 27, 2023.

Currently, the Forensic Medicine and Medicolegal Studies Study Programs at the Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University, have received the latest accreditation status in 2023, with the UNGGUL status from LAMPTKes. The Field Assessment by Assessors was conducted on April 13-15, 2023, located in Building A, 3rd Floor, Dean’s Office, Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University. The Accreditation Status is stated in the LAMPTKes Decree number 0321/LAM-PTKes/Akr/Spe/V/2023 and will be valid until May 4, 2028.
